Mixed Martial Arts, ages 16 and up, focuses on:
Teaching proper stand-up mechanics in Muay Thai and boxing
Developing efficiency on the ground with a combination of Brazillian Jui-Jitsu, wrestling and Silat
Training fighters to be comfortable in the clinch and against the cage both offensively and defensively.

Congratulations to our 9 new junior black belts receiving their 1st dan. Great job on the demos and also Sheri Ann Nishiyama received her 2nd dan and A.J. Edmison received his 3rd dan. The ceremony as always is a powerful event to watch and was attended by the candidates family, friends and students.

JJ Jones a 17 year old blue belt in the adult martial art adult program beats a veteran in the cage at the NW Fight Challenge Undisputed in Olympia, WA. His opponent threw in the towel after the 2nd round. Our adult martial art program is focused around self defense on the street but we trained a novice to fight in the cage against a veteran MMA fighter to demonstrate that we teach all of our students the basics of striking, clinching and submission technique in our classes. Congratulations to AJ for his MMA fight win at the NW Fight Challenge Undisputed. AJ demonstrated all levels of skill that he trains in mixed martial arts at the Lenderman Academy in Tacoma, WA. He dominated in striking, clinching, take down and he won the fight with a rear naked choke submission.
